Playing Catch-up

I wanted to give you all a warning that today there are going to be a lot of posts.  My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary yesterday so this last weekend we took a trip to the Oregon Coast for a much needed break.  Now don't get me wrong...I love my kids dearly, but every parent knows that sometimes you really need to get away, and it was heavenly.
For those of you that have never been to the Oregon Coast you are definitely missing out.  It is one of my favorite places in the whole world and I go every chance I can.  Spring is always a hard time to go to the coast because you never know what kind of weather you will get.  We lucked out this time and had the most gorgeous weather!  We were able to enjoy the beach without freezing or getting soaked. The picture above is from the balcony of our condo in Lincoln City, OR.  See how beautiful it was this weekend!
Since I am writing about my anniversary trip I have to say a little about my honey and our story.  We met at the beginning of our senior year in high school and fell in love quickly.  Unfortunately we made some mistakes and I ended up getting pregnant by January of that year.  I am sure some people are going to be hostile about this and they are entitled to their opinions.  I could go on and on about my horrible home life and searching for love the wrong way, but when it comes down to the truth we are responsible for our behavior and we stepped up and did the right thing.  We were married before high school ended and had our son that October.  Everyone told us we would never make it and even though there have been some hard times we have worked hard to keep our marriage strong and have proven everyone wrong.  I love him more today than when we got married.  I couldn't ask for a better husband or father for my children!
Ok.  Enough of the mushy stuff.  The main reason for this post is to apologize to those of you that may read my blog and to the authors I am reading books for.  I have been reading like a crazy woman (I even snuck reading in to my weekend getaway) and finished several books.  The problem is that I did not have access to a computer to write my reviews so today I am starting all of the reviews I have finished.  There are several of them so it may even take a few days to get them finished.  I hope you enjoy the reviews and hopefully find some books you may want to read!  Thanks for stopping by!
